My nephews show support for the fallen

Our little Tom Barraclough, well actually the tallest young man near to us in the picture with the beret, was at the memorial service in Guisborough today marching with the army cadets. He is 17 and I am a proud Auntie. Another nephew Kam who is 16 and also in the army cadets has a facebook page littered with tributes to the soldiers of the two world wars, well probably all wars. So glad that they are remembering but I cannot help but think a hundred years ago these would be the very lads that would be signing up to do their duty and be killed in their millions on the battle fields.
We must remember those who died and their bravery but we must make sure that it never happens again.
The soldiers can be glorified but War is not to be.
( Tom and his three brothers are regular holiday makers here at Mas del Sol coming out every year since they were tiny tots)
