More people speaking French

French speakers now take the 5th place in the world. Inevitably English, Spanish and Chinese head the list, but French has increased by 7% to over 400 million speakers. Par contre, French is the 2nd most taught language (after English) in schools and colleges and the third most used on the internet. So la langue de Moliere is far from losing its place in world usage.

Malc says: I studied Moliere and his language, but when moving to France soon discovered that Moliere simply had no words for "cement mixer" and all those daily usages we need to get by here!
