I have been looking again at John’s article about what is available to the Castanetois. I think the Ariase information may not be very up to date or complete.
I spoke to the Mayor of Loze just after Meshnet went bust on the 29th of September.
Meshnet supplied Internet via Wimax to Espinas, Loze and Lacapelle Liveron amongst others, a company called Xilan took over their customers in Espinas and Lacapelle Livero.
In Loze they have had Fibre Optic installed to the village although they don’t seemed to have run the cable to the mills in the valley yet like he said they would.
Loze falls under the Parisot exchange which is why I mention it
With regards to Xilan and Meshnet – apparently before they went bust one of the Meshnet engineers changed a few of the antenna Ids and can’t find that information anymore so they couldn’t switch them over to Xilan – fortunately for the Mairie of Espinas the church spire in Espinas was OK so they had their Internet access and Telephone switched back on quote quickly!
If anyone has experience of the new services I would be keen to hear their news.
