I think perhaps catching an elephant cannot be classed as ordinary but collecting blackberries to make jam, well we all do that don't we. Best not to try it along the banks of a river, especially the Aude. The biggest blackest juiciest fruits are always just out of reach and reaching over to collect blackberries, the former Mayor of Espéraza age 80 fell in to the river and was drowned. Looking through the papers I am surprised at the number of simple accidents like this which turn into disaster stories.
