A couple living at Septfonds in a quiet area not known for trouble yesterday created a sad drama after a divorce. The wife was living with her friend when her husband came and attacked her with an "arme blanche"( knife) killing her. The friend rushed for help to the neighbours but it was too late Nadine Miquel age 48 years was dead. Nadine had worked at the local school for twenty years and was well known and liked in the area. Her husband ( adjoint au maire de Labastide- de-Penne) distraught drove off to friends at St. Cirq but when he arrived he had a gun with him and shot himself by the swimming pool.
