41 treated for carbon monoxide poisoning in Rodez

A nine storey building was evacuated in Rodez after some sixty inhabitants, both commercial and residential premises being concerned, were found to be suffering from carbon monoxide poisoning.
Residents were evacuated to a temporary assembly point and 41 were sent to be checked at hospital.
Nobody was seriously affected and as yet the pompiers have not reported on the cause of the CO emissions.
Homes with oil or gas boilers should check that the boiler room is adequately ventilated and carbon monoxide monitors are readily available. (We at Mas del Sol coupled the installation with the mandatory installation of smoke alarms)
