Yesterday a French neighbour told me someone had been up from the Maire telling anyone with hens to keep them enclosed. For a month hens in the area have to be kept in enclosures to try and stem the continuing rise of " grippe aviare"
Talking to a chicken farmer yesterday she was worried about ducks in the area, where numbers have been decimated in the SW apparently.
