She's not just a granny

Danielle, a retired lawyer of 77, was interviewed in the streets of Paris as she left flowers after the attacks of 16th November. Her words of tolerance struck a chord: "we live peaceably with the 5 million Muslims in our society, but must fight against the 10000 who kill supposedly in the name of Allah". Her interview has been diffused many times on the internet and she has received many messages of support. Nicknamed  the "granny revolted by stupidity" Danielle is a long-time advocate of women's rights, against FGM, capital punishment and torture. It seems a shame she is head-lined for her "grannyhood" and not her humanity. A web site has been set up to raise money to send her a bunch of flowers on behalf of the internet users and has raised over 1000 euros.
