You can feel it everywhere, our gears are changing, two more weeks of rental and then all our holidaymakers will have left. The restaurants and shops are quieter and some are already taking well earned " congée annuelle" The boulangerie in Varen will be closed from Tuesday 17th until the 29th. Charlie at La Seye et Vous in Verfeil sur Seye will be back open again next week after his holidays. Because of the hot, dry weather certain of the trees have leaves turning to gold and evenings are starting to have more of a chill.
We need to get some serious gardening done on the side of our rental house, when rented it is not possible to find time to do much more than mow lawns. At least the temperatures are more conducive now to doing gardening work and maintenance jobs about the place.
