When I started reading this story I thought modern criminology techniques would be at play but the man was actually "shopped" by his ex wife. So it was a woman scorned scenario.
The man 12 years ago entered the home of a 78 year old woman, killing her and taking everything of value. Sitting waiting in the car outside was his then wife. All these years after the ex -wife decides to tell the gendarmes what happened. Does this remind you of an incident in England where a well known politician's wife took his driving points but later after being divorced shopped him?
In that incident both ended up in prison and I would imagine the same thing in this much more serious case will happen.
