Amazing thunder and lightning but not a total deluge as in last week. It is still raining , all good for the plants and garden but not good for visitors or planned events. Malc and I are just sitting with a cup of tea enjoying the drop in temperature. Our French guests are still in bed and I know from experience they will want bread and jam and a big bowl of coffee where they will then dip their bread. Annie has been my penpal for 55years having met for a school exchange in second year. She still lives at Croix, near Lille where I went on holiday at 12 years of age. Her English was good and that is what we spoke but now she says she has forgotten her English and we speak French, quite satisfying for me.
