Musée Pierre Soulages at Rodez

Good morning Val,
Yesterday I made a visit to the new Musée Pierre Soulages in Rodez.  Soulages' paintings may or may not be your cup of tea, but the museum and the work are well worth a visit. After this inaugural exhibition, there are always going to be special exhibitions of contemporary artists' work in addition to the permanent collection. My favourite image yesterday was not one of the paintings or etchings, but my snap of clouds through a dark mesh blind in front of a window.
I thought the following practical details and links might be of use to your readers:
- Ticket at 7 euros also gives access to the Fenaille and Denys Puech musea.
- Parking was easy in the Avenue Victor Hugo. There's also a carpark right behind the museum.
- For lunch at the new Cafe Bras you'll have to book in advance. It was totally 'complet' when we arrived. Not surprising at 29 € for a three course lunch!
- We found a table at a nice restaurant Le Kiosque, also in the park. Excellent dishes and  very reasonably priced food. Buzzing ambiance. Better to book, as many after us were turned away because it had totally filled up.

Have a nice weekend,
Ellyxx
