Last weekend a Citroen C4 crashed off the A20 at the Caussade interchange and its occupants disappeared when the gendarmes arrived. The policemen found 15kgs of cannabis hidden in a bush nearby so mounted a surveillance at the site. Some hours later a Clio arrived and a young passenger got out to look for the cache. Promptly arrested, his accomplices took off again. Investigators were able to find DNA on the steering wheel and video evidence showed the accused at various
péage stations at the wheel. There were two other cars in the convoy, a so-called "go-fast" transporting the drugs, said to be worth 30000 euros, from Holland to the south. The cars used were a marked difference to the usual black BMWs so beloved of the "go-fast" fraternity.
