After the attack of the ladybirds which largely disappeared after a couple of days we sort of forgot about them, a few in the gite said Sid so this morning I went in to clean for guests arriving tomorrow.... OMG hell.... A normal clean would take me 2 hrs, today 4 hrs of HOOVERING alone before anything else. 1000s would be an understatement, every chair, every curtain thick, stinking sticky stuff all over the windows, black gunge on the window sills & in corners, a hoover bag full. The place has been empty for 3 weeks. I would urge anyone with an empty space to go & check as by the looks of it if they're left the damage to walls & soft furnishings over the winter would be considerable. Chemical warfare may have to be used, hairspray says the internet.... The harlequins which is what these are have potential to be a major pest. Laura
