Festilitt - the Parisot literary festival 21, 22 & 23 October 2016 Last minute details for Festilitt  We have been overwhelmed by the response to the festival opening on Friday night and are now at full capacity.  So if you have not reserved a place please do not come, we don't have any more room! Practical information to help you get the most out of the Festilitt weekend Venues All of the talks in English will be held in the salle des fêtes and those in French will be in the library. Book sales   We have a massive sale of excellent quality second-hand books for €1, €2 or €3.  This will take place in the Mairie.  The 2016 festival authors' books will also be on sale in the Mairie, or you can buy them at the end of each session. Bookshop opening times Friday 6-7 Saturday 10-12, 2-6 Sunday 10-12, 2-6 Refreshments  Join us for lunch in between sessions on Saturday and Sunday in the Auberge de la Castille in the village.  Menus from €14 on Saturday and €20 on Sunday. We also have breaks between the two afternoon sessions on Saturday and Sunday, offering you a cup of tea and fabulous home made cakes completely free. Special offer for the Festilitt weekend Tracey Warr delighted our 2014 audience with her insight into writing historical fiction. She has just published her latest novel, Conquest. In 1093 the three sons of William the Conqueror fight each other for control of the Anglo-Norman kingdom created by their father’s conquest. Nest, the daughter of the last independent Welsh king, is captured by Norman invaders and becomes a powerful symbol for both her Welsh compatriots and her Norman captors.
