Hardly a plague but we have hordes all over our windows downstairs.

Our house was covered in thousands of ladybirds yesterday.... we were covered in them if we stood still, amazing! But can anyone tell me what it was all about? Are they migrating somwewhere..or is it time for hibernating.... it was magical for the children , seeing all these different coloured ladybirds!
