What does it take

to save a top division football club from relegation? Generally the knee- jerk reaction is to sack the manager and try to appoint a saviour. Several clubs in England's Premier League have done this, most recently Sunderland who have turned to a Dutch manager. I wonder if they asked him  for his diplomas.
Toulouse FC, in extremis at the foot of the French Ligue 1 have fired Alain Casanova  and appointed Dominique Arribé. So what do the press think? "He hasn't got his diploma!"
Having played 334 matches in midfield for TFC clearly weighed more with the direction than his lack of paper qualifications. It is a requirement for professional club managers to have a brevet professionel d'entraineur de football (BPEF).
So Toulouse face a hefty fine and Arribé will not be able to attend pre and post match press conferences. A small price to pay if TFC avoid the drop. As a footnote Mme Arribé is the maire adjoint of Toulouse.
