It's odd in Paris tomorrow

If you are driving through Paris tomorrow (Monday 23rd March) make sure your vehicle has an odd numbered immatriculation. In a bid to reduce pollution caused by the atmospheric conditions the prefecture of Ile de France has imposed restrictions on vehicles throughout the Paris and surrounding area. Fines of 22 euros payable on the spot (or 35 euros if later than 3 days). Some exceptions are allowed, but for private or commercial vehicles only a minimum of 3 passengers will be allowed. Public transport will be free and the VeLib and AutoLib systems will be cheaper. The alternating of odd and even numbers will continue until the pollution levels drop below the safe level.
