Should we be scared of Marine Le Pen? Henry Samuel in the Telegraph

On Sunday, France goes to the polls to vote in local elections that few French care about and even less understand. Yet the political implications for France and Europe, could be huge.

The Front National (FN), once a dubious protest party of xenophobes, anti-Semites and die-hard fascists, will – if you believe the polls – finish ahead of the ruling Socialists and centre-Right opposition. Marine Le Pen will be able to reiterate the claim that she leads the “first party of France”.

Val says well it certainly scares me and worse is the feeling of helplessness as we have not got a vote. One can only hope that moderates and common sense win the day but things are not looking good. Comments to taglines82@gmail.com
