As part of its embellishment of the rue de la Gare, Laguepie council has installed new lighting, a toilet block opposite the petanque clubhouse and a playground for children. At a cost of about 10000 euros (plus own employees' labour) the area is for supervised children aged 1-12 years. Unlike the riverside play equipment this is fenced to keep dogs out.
