In the UK, we had trouble with moles so decided to buy a humane mole scarer.
“Try Argos,” someone said. So I went online and typed “mole scarer” into the Search box. It came up with a page of Barbie dolls’ bed accessories. We eventually found one on a different website and it proved very successful. A few weeks later, there was a knock at the door. It was the little boy from down the road. He was clutching a mole. “I think this is yours,” he said, thrusting the mole at Gavin. He’d rescued it from one of our cats. Gavin repatriated it in Epping Forest.
