Calvin and I at our sailing club

A young friend from our sailing days had posted a picture of me and him at our sailing club on his facebook page. Malc and I worked out that at the time I was  about 35 years old... a long time ago.
That brought us round to discussing earlier periods of our life and defining moments. For me my defining   moment was when I left libraries behind and started my own business. After a year I was able to buy my own car a silver Honda Prelude. I will never forget driving at speed up to a book auction at Carlisle along the motorway, being overtaken along the valley by a fighter plane from Kinloss, they used to practice up there in the Lakes.
I thought this is it, this is my life and I am in charge. I will never forget that moment.
I asked Malc what do you think is your defining moment and without hesitation he said " when I married you"
Can you believe that? and with Valentine's day only a couple of days away I do not now need any flowers.
Will anyone else tell us their defining moments?

Calvin will not mind me saying he sailed his boat upside down more times than upright
