Saturday night at 6.30pm we and all the village are invited by the Mayor to welcome the New Year and take a glass of wine with the Mayor and councillors. The Mayor gives a little speech ( hopefully little) and we all chat with neighbours and friends.
I am sure there will be a similar happening in your village.
