Eggstatic, eggstrordinary, Penny has laid an egg

Great excitement at Mas del Sol tonight. Penny our really old hen after nearly a year and a half has laid an egg. Julia was here changing the donkeys water and we asked if she could close Penny up for the night. She came rushing up the stairs to show us the egg. We had to check it was real. I hope the old dear is OK and this is not her swan song.
