A French neighbour who keeps horses is building an écurie, horses are kept in écuries, not etables.
Etables are for other animals. I think my donkeys have stables / etables, I like the biblical symbolism.
A discussion followed about other animal homes but got stuck at cats. Where do cats live? on the bed was Malc's reply.
