Our friend Roger is 80 years old on the 13th of this month. A group of friends are going out to celebrate with him at the Hirondelle at St. Cirq. Today at lunchtime Malc went with Roger to establish numbers and work out menus with the chef.
When they arrived in the car park there was a line of MGB's and MGA's, old ones of course. Roger was in his element as although he is now a Lancia man when he was 21 his parents bought him a red MG which he still has in England. It worked out Roger had the oldest type of them all; well he is getting on a bit.
As our two men left, the French MG car club were just on their aperos sitting outside so Malc approached them for a chat. He told them about Roger and his cars and mentioned tomorrow Les Petrolheads would be at the lake at Parisot with their cars at lunchtime. When they heard that Roger also has a Lancia Aurelia they almost insisted he went home and brought it.
Then Malc and Roger heard the men discussing who could go tomorrow. One man was from Toulouse, one from Lavaurette and another that Malc spoke to was from Mazamet.
So who knows Petrolheads you might get a surprise visit from "little French devils" tomorrow.
