A bit of a grey day and so after lunch our French visitors have been teaching us to play belote. An interesting card game but I was fed up I never got to shout belote, and Malc could have but forgot. At a brocante we bought last year the most beautiful tarot cards in a leather box, we have never been able to play ,they just looked beautiful but tomorrow that might be on the cards.
Annie our friend, now she is retired spends time taking young children into 'maisons de retraite' and teaching them some of the old games that the old people like to play, keeping up old traditions and no doubt brightening up the lives of the old folk.
