Walking by water with a dog has perils

Walking along the banks de l'Hers in Toulouse with her dog on a sunny morning, a tragedy was waiting to happen.  A lady of 35 spotted her Dog in the water and jumped in to save him. The water was freezing and the lady went into shock. The pompiers and policiers were there very quickly but she died victim of hydrocution.  Not quiet sure what hydrocution is, death by a thermal shock which paralysied her. There was no mention if her little dog lived.

Hydrocution

Victime d'une hydrocution, elle est restée paralysée. Ramenée sur les bords de l'Hers, cette femme a d'abord été prise en charge par des policiers qui étaient très vite arrivés sur place.

Les fonctionnaires ont tout tenté, pendant de très longues minutes, pour ranimer la victime. Les sapeurs-pompiers se sont également rendus sur les lieux.

Malgré leurs efforts conjoints, cette femme de 35 ans, est décédée.
