Having lived in a 'village bungalow' for the last ten years, enjoying life
to the full, and even expanding our horizons! I feel your tone is somewhatpatronising.We have quite happily dis-integrated over the years with our
neighbours and friends and most of the villagers, without feeling that age has crept up on us.
We each choose what suits us best, there is is no definitive way of life for
those of us who come here to live!

Val says the damning sentence ! I bet though even if many of us know having a bungalow in a village is the sensible thing, few of us will do it; fighting old age till the last.
John is right, it is not a question of where you live but of maintaining your independence where ever you are.
