We heard this morning that yesterday afternoon Gerard Brigden sadly died, he was in his nineties and lived with his wife Evelyn near Parisot. Particularly poignant for many TAG readers as a group living around Parisot have been helping Eve with shopping and trips to visit Gerard in hospital. Eve contacted TAG to ask for help, she had a very good neighbour but did not want to rely on this couple all the time.
I want to say a particular thanks to Anne Grose who lived nearby and took on the organising of a rota. Eve wrote to me two days ago to say how grateful she was to everyone who had rallied round.
