Focus pocus, it is all magic

Dear Val and Malcolm,

Lately I am having a struggle ensuring I am in focus when I look through the camera viewfinder.  "Oh that's why your pictures are blurred" I hear you say, very funny, wait until you need glasses.  Well it is amusing how you can know so much and at the same time so little and it is the little things that make such a difference.

Next to the viewfinder of SLR and some point and shoot cameras there is a diopter adjustment.  This adjustment can have enough range to make what you see in the viewfinder properly focussed without the need to wear glasses.  Mine needed adjusting as my eyes have changed over the last couple of years and obviously my brain too as I had forgotten about this useful feature.
