Tonights showing of the film "La Gloire de Mon Pére" has had to be cancelled. We did a trial drive this morning down in to Varen to check out the road. We went off in high hopes but discovered a sheet of ice on the first bend and another lower down where the sun never gets through the trees.
We went round Varen letting the French villagers we know who had planned to come that it was safer to cancel. They all understood but admitted to being disappointed. We have agreed to rearrange once the weather is better. I still have some friends to phone and in case there is any one I cannot contact please pass the word around.
