Cold frosty morning but Max the puppy very happy

We look and feel like " Bleak House" this morning shrouded in fog and frost. Malc has gone out to feed the donkeys with his faithful follower Max the puppy. Max still has few friends here, poor Penny nearly became chicken and chips yesterday and she ended up in the barn tucked with her head under her wing after a mad chase around the garden. I just managed to get my hands on her before Max who just wanted a good game, tried to grab her. I hope in her old age she has a strong heart!!

The cats have had various chases round the house and gardens, it must seem like puppy heaven our place. More respect has been shown to the donkeys with the little puppy staying well on the safe side of the fence. Max also likes chewing.
Malc was astonished yesterday as he was busy working in the courtyard, Max a bit bored demolished a bucket having worked her way through various plastic plant pots. A candle found on the table and a bag of powder for the donkeys hooves opened and scattered. Malc who seems quite besotted with her, explained the hole in his cashmere jumper was not important as it was an old jumper! The big wooden stick chewed to pieces in the lounge and the kitchen has been a godsend for entertainment. We will be finding and tripping over bits of wood for weeks.
We took her down to Varen yesterday and walked along the river. She bounded along next to Bonny her friend !! and followed Bon doing exactly what she did. Bon was not impressed.
The owners return Monday night or Tuesday morning and life for us all will be very dull... but calm when she leaves.
