Simple things can make us happy,
The donkeys calmly accepting their feed without pushing and shoving.
Bonny running with ears flying looking as if she will take flight
Malc whispering sweet nothings to Nipolena and Baby, the outside cats who come for food and little else, but Malc keeps trying.
A phone call from the family and hearing the news
Friends knowing us well enough to pop in for a coffee and chat.
The sky at night and the blue of the daytime sky
The boulangerie having a flute "pas trop bien cuit"
A pot of fresh lemon curd
The six o'clock glass of red wine
A book too good to put down.
Music from our youth
Val says... such simple things but they can make you smile and feel happy.
