You know I really do not like the person Gerard Depardieu has become because of his drinking but a readers comments that being an alcoholic is a medical problem has played on my pysche and perhaps I should have more understanding about this man and his problems. His statements are all made under the influence of and fuelled by alcohol. What a shame he could not recognise his problems and get help. Being fawned on by the press waiting for his bad behaviour cannot help him, but perhaps I should show more understanding, sadly I am not sure if I would like the man any better if he were sober.
