No particular shocks in the English FA Cup at the weekend, but imagine the mighty Olympique Marseille (OM) being knocked out of the French Cup by a 4th division team. But that is exactly what happened. OM are sitting on top of Ligue 1 but against lowly Grenoble found themselves beaten in a penalty shoot out after being held 3-3.
On a less surprising note Stade Toulousain rugby team was again beaten by Clermont 24-6. The Auvergne side seem to have the hold over Toulouse this as well as heading their European Cup group. Is the centre of gravity in French rugby shifting?
