Bregtie Backx who lives in St. Antonin had an idea to have books around the streets of the town to encourage reading and give everyone the pleasure of having a book to hand.
To this end she sought the agreement of the Mayor and then needed the agreement of the Batiment de France. All this now arranged expect to see very soon a book case with closing doors in the street opposite the Gazpacho. There will be French, Dutch and English books available in this free library of the people at any time day or night.
We will be the Hay on Wye equivalent before you know it.
