A massive police presence on Saturday and Sunday evening in Haute Garonne saw 10,000 people being tested for driving under the influence of alcohol. 199 people were found to be over the limit.
Two weeks before the gendarmes tested 6,000 drivers and caught 269 people.
Now I think both these statistics prove it was worth the expense of the gendarmes time obviously costing money, but driving without drinking saves lives, as an exercise bringing it to peoples attention it must have had some effect.
That subbie, Malc totally disagrees and thinks the small percentage of people caught was not worth the huge expenditure.
The editor and sub editor have agreed to disagree on this one. The third/ furred editor says he does not care one way or the other.
Just as a warning other forces are planning " conducteurs dépistés" in the same way.
Faites attention, losing your licence here, well it is not simple getting it back!
