Santé !

A hospital in Clermont Ferrand is to open a wine bar in its palliative care service for terminal patients. Doctors explained that they believe that patients have the right to enjoy the "flavours of our country" to help their morale. Champagne and whisky supplied by sponsors will also be available as well as "medically supervised wine tastings". Staff have been coached by a social anthropologist (always wondered what they do?) to ensure that patients and their families enjoy the conviviality. What price this on the NHS?
