Today Polly said to me " where are the donkey dinners" The donkey sanctuary Liberte des Anes is at Lavolvene in Tarn and Garonne, from us in Varen it is a run of about an hour and a half through beautiful countryside.
Polly said Alan was not sure it was a good place to take friends who are vegetarians! Oh! Alan, you do not eat the donkeys you go and have a wonderful lunch to support the rescue donkeys so they in turn can have a wonderful lunch each day.
This day comes highly recommended if you are a fan of donkeys. Jan and Gerrit are happy to show the donkeys and tell their sometimes sad tales. Sad that is until they got to the donkey sanctuary.
