Beat the drums for African children

Last night a group of African young men banged their drums, sang a little and danced for our entertainment at Sautou near Castanet.
We were entertained around the beautiful pool and a goodly crowd were there, all supporters of Jean Marie and Winnie Nosal. A couple who have spent their lives raising money for street children in Mali, and have built a hospital and school which over 40 years has saved and fed thousands of children.
The weather stayed warm and dry and the ambience of these evenings is just superb.
In our group we had a former Mayor of Verfeil who along with Jean Marie could not get over our response to Picnic in the Park. The French cannot understand that idea of a "posh picnic" They were both in awe of crowds of people carrying in tables and chairs, setting up their picnic and paying 15 euros for the pleasure. Whatever, we were able to hand over 1,400 euros after that evening and it will really make a difference to the children.
Last night everyone at Sautou worked their socks off and it paid off, we had a great evening and I am sure raised lots of money.
We asked where the group were from and they apparently live at Albi ! (although all originally from Africa)
