Base jumping, jumping off a mountain, opening your parachute later, a dangerous sport, sometimes ending badly.
Base jumping and wing suiting are newish crazes, first reported on TAG last year, when numerous deaths were noted.
This year there have been fewer children reported drowned in swimming pools and lakes, so the poorer weather has some benefits.
At least if you are daft enough to jump off a mountain, you must know the risks.
The latest death is of an Australian age 35 killed in Haute Savoie.
