The annual festival of Jazz in Marciac opens on Friday 27th July and runs until 15th August. The Gers village welcome thousands of visitors to see and hear world renowned jazz musicians. The season opens with an evening of trumpet music, featuring Wynton Marsalis and Ibrahim Maalouf , with up and coming young artist Lucienne Renaudin Vary.
Other musicians this year include Joan Baez, Carlos Santana, Pat Metheny, Gregory Porter and Stacey Kent, plus a host of other internationally renowned performers.
