Whilst Haute Garonne is celebrating two newly "starred" chefs, Pierre Lambinon at Py-R in Toulouse and Thierry Merville at La Table des Mervilles, Castanet-Tolosan, each of whom received their first Michelin star, things are not so bright in the Tarn.
Three of the restaurants in the department have lost their only star: L'Esprit du Vin (Albi), the Chateau de Salettes (Cahuzac sur Cere) and the Bistrot des Saveurs (Castres) all presumably will continue to serve fine food, but perhaps it will be easier to get a table!
Midi Pyrenees has three 2-star establishments and Michel Bras remains the sole 3-star chef in the region.
