No more eggs since the surprise one out of the blue a few weeks ago but another surprising development. Penny has worked her magic on the donkeys and she is now accepted into the stable. She can be seen weaving her way between the donkeys legs, scratting and chortling as she goes. It is a christmas card scene to see them all in the straw filled stable with a hen perched on shelves and blustery snow flakes falling. She does not lay eggs but she is a decorative friendly family addition. If you had to come back in another life as a hen, you would want to be a Penny. I wonder if she suffers with arthritis being so old, she seems very sprightly.
