The SPA kennels at Garric (near Albi) have appealed for coats for dogs, including old pullovers that their volunteers can re-fashion into coats. There are 79 cages at Garric which are not heated and the director explains that in that part of the Tarn winter temperatures often fall below 0C (see our story below!). All sizes are needed and short haired dogs are particularly at risk. The centre also needs covers for the cages to protect the inmates from the cold.
