Sherry and Kestrels

No, that is not an idea for a new recipe, but Portugal does have Madeira wine which is fortified like sherry, port etc.  Many thanks for letting me take pictures hope you enjoy the ones I have sent.   I have one by itself then two then three with the 3rd one flapping its wings.

You will be interested to know Nev that the kestrel parents have not been all day, till one appeared at 4.30pm to feed. We are hoping they start feeding again as the cries of the young all day long have been unbearable. There was an incident last night where the kestrel chased one of our cats but it surely can not have been enough to stop parents feeding. Around 4pm I was considering cutting up some meat and sending Malc up on a ladder with it... but he refused!
