French men's tennis is amongst the strongest in the world with several top players. Today three men will test their prowess against the top three men's players in the world rankings at the French Open taking place at Stade Roland Garros in Paris. Gael Monfils faces Roger Federer, Richard Gasquet has the daunting task of facing Novak Djokovic and unseeded Jeremy Chardy confronts world no. 3 Andy Murray.
These three are looking to join Jo Wilfried Tsonga in the quarter finals, making more than one French contender for the first time in many years. No Frenchman has won Roland Garros since Yannick Noah in 1983.
Tennis fans are in for a treat on either ITV4 or France 2 television if you haven't got a Paris ticket.
