Another death, hitting a plane tree

A  very serious accident yesterday at 8.30am on the30  route RD30 at Donzac. A Peugeot driven by a lady age 54 ran into a plane tree and she was killed. A very sad death and I am sure our sympathy goes to families.
I love the plane trees and I hate that so many are being chopped down because of these constant deaths. I find it inexplicable that I could report these accidents weekly, monthly, like lemmings jumping off a cliff they keep coming. The cause of this accident has not been explained. A  country road, a tree and yet another death.
Something must be done.

Gill S says  We lost a Mum and a son when they crashed into one. They are big and narrow the roads. They need to be chopped down, surely life is more important. These are really solid trees. Or perhaps on just one side of the road. We will hear of more deaths.

Val says how sad Gill. I am so sorry and I can see why you would want them to go. Malc wonders if they could have protection barriers round which cars would bounce off  more gently.

Miranda says
I am sorry Gill, but I can't understand why these accidents happen. Of course lives are more important than trees but we have to look at our own lives rather than blaming the trees.
