The donkeys huddled in their hut, very snug with four bodies and sixteen legs. Penny the hen slow to greet the day and then deciding to stay around the hay bales under cover. The cats and dog curled up on warm patches of floor. With under floor heating the pets sometimes lay in a line where the heating runs, looks quite amusing. Malc who is still on duty feeding outside pets did not linger this morning but still maintains he enjoys being out there. It is beautiful even in the rain and he reported back that the area round the hut is draining well.
When you hear unhappy animal stories it is uplifting to hear of happy well cared for pets with happy owners. As Malc shakes off his raincoat and towel dries his hair, it is perhaps not the time to throw him the question" are you a happy pet owner Malc?" Let me feed him a warm drink and his breakfast first!
